Also, thank you for the calling cards that you have left.  I forget to look there for days at a time, and when I do it is so nice to notice that someone has visited my posts.

the world is wide open to you now...so many possibilities of things to do, places to see, people to meet and no worries about a wet blanket beside you

Believe it or not, I know that exact feeling you are referring to. Although I rarely mention it, I was actually in prison for two and a half years about 30 years ago ( a long and arduous tale - read my book "The Hindering" to get the full story ) When I was finally released, you wanna talk about 'chains being lifted?' That feeling of full freedom is one to be savored! Enjoy it! And it's wonderful that your sons are there to help and support you . . .

Well would you believe it Jean , I think one becomes more content as one becomes older.

One thing I have found is that there is always that wall of depressing thoughts, but one has the power to keep it at bay. I try to think of little treats that the future will bring and though I have made many mistakes in my life , I just accept it.

This is a very interesting time of life for you.  Keep making decisions and doing what you decide.  Make your 70's something special.

Re: kabu

yes, we must learn that life is change.  i spent so many years asking how can i hold this together, instead of what do i want to do, that now i do not know how to ask myself what do you want or even what do i want to do. at this moment i do not know either.

Love this post...you sort of must have got inside my mind. LOl....For example..i no longer need to see the Taj Mahal  or actually go to India at all. I don't want to risk my health with Deli Belly. LOL. Lots of things that I once loved doing I have crossed off the list but others I have added. Life is exciting, and you are special the way you are embracing it.
