Excited? Not really. Although I am a huge Rangers fan ( and have been since 1985 ), I never get overly excited about the roster itself, mainly because there never seems to be a 'franchise' player anymore. It's extremely rare that a player, regardless of their position, stays with any team for more than a couple of years anymore, thanks to free agency. No more Messiers or Leetchs or Graves or Richters ( although I do believe that Lundqvist may be the only one ). As always, I'm excited about the season, and hope the Rangers go far ( this time hausting the Stanley Cup ), and that every player pulls their weight! Drop the puck! Let's play . . .
