I agree with FSI. They don't have to necessarily get rid of it ( it is an integral part of the game ). What they're proposing is, instead of having the pitcher actually throw the four pitches wide, just have someone signal to the ump with four fingers ( meaning four balls ) and save the time and trouble of going through the motions. That might work out to be a better compromise . . .

I do not feel that the intentional walk should be eliminated all together. It is an important part of baseball strategy.

However, I feel that instead of the slow four pitches, just have the pitcher, manager, catcher, somebody signal or say to the ump.

To me, the intentional walk is almost as boring as the extra point in football.
