Probably still a little too early to say, but it's nice to see teams like Detroit, Cincinnati, San Diego and Arizona atop their divisions for a change, instead of being nearer to the bottom . . .

If you mean good surprise, which most people do, I would say the Nationals. I do not think anyone expected them to dominate their division like they did.
If you mean surprise in a bad sense, then the Braves. They really fell off the cliff there.
