Re: JimmyA

There's no better feeling, is there, Sir Wiley? I couldn't agree more! And the best part is, those particular feelings are not few and far between . . .

JimmyA

Waking up every day and knowing how much I love the person next to me, Kabu.

Re:

I actually know that particular feeling myself, Annicita. My first novel ( "The Hindering" ) was extremely difficult to write, and took me almost a year to complete. But when I typed out that last line and knew I was done, yes, what an amazing feeling indeed, something I don't think a lot of people can say they've felt! And then it's on to the next book . . .

Re:

They are indeed, chuck. Both my wife and I do our best not to focus on the negatives, and enjoy the positives! And fortunately, we make each other smile all the time! It doesn't get any better than that . . .

Re:

So I guess, Bill, it's certain types of foods that give you feel-good moments ( just kiddin' ). But if you have to take time to really ponder this because you have so many to choose from, there's nothing to complain about then . . .

Re:

That's actually good, adnohr! Some people may have difficulty thinking of one, and that's very sad indeed! But if you have several, then you're already rich beyond your wildest dreams . . .

Re:

I understand completely, justi. I absolutely love having my wife by my side every night as well. There are times when I'm feeling somewhat down, and my wife will casually walk past me and gently rub my shoulder or pass a hand over the small of my back, and I can't help but to smile! Isn't love grand . . . ?

Re: Jimmy

Oh, we don't like that, Naut! You'll have to come clean sooner or later! But hey, sometimes not having to do any yard work, or finding a clever way to get out of it, can make some people smile as well! Let's see what you actually come up with . . .

Re:

That's always a good one, Kabu. My wife and I have done that several times as well. Nothing wrong with stepping back and taking in and appreciating all you have and all you do to make your home your Garden of Eden. That is, of course, if the gnomes allow you to . . .

Re: Well... Actually...

There ya go, kasperhoe! Sometimes just thinking about smiling can make one smile! And if I was the catalyst in all that, that makes me smile . . .

Re:

Good for you, lovelylady. I guess buying a little something special for yourself gives you that feel-good moment. I enjoy that too, except that I'm usually too broke to treat myself to anything . . .

Re:

An excellent feel-good moment, FSI, and one that I miss myself. Believe me, my wife is a wonderful cook, and I absolutely love coming home to her. But there was always something a little different, and a little special, about mom's meals! They always seem to have that 'magic touch' with the dishes, don't they . . .?

I get that feeling alot lately....and was jumping up and down with joy when I finished my novel!

You are absolutely right lets laugh and forget all the pains because they are endless.

Oh my, I could write pages and pages!

Anytime I have absolutely no pain is such a happy time I almost try to do things I have not done in many years such as jump and run, etc. The happiest moment of my every night is that my husband is in bed beside me and as he turns over to go to sleep he always says, "I love you girl". That may be rote but it blesses me beyond happy.

Jimmy

Well, this made me smile - one reason being that I don't do any yard work, LOL...There are a lot of other reasons, of course, and I just decided to write about some of them! Until then I'll keep you in suspense...

Actually you are right about the yard work and the garden. But even before the showr and rest, I love to stand there and look with pride at how this little place looks with our efforst, and how healthy it and we are, and we smile with the pleasure of it all. And it is ours and that is wonderful too, that we can live here and know it is our own place.

Well... Actually...

I don't really know what to say about this entry. But actually, I caught myself smiling just by reading your entry. Bingo, guess that's one of the answers of the question I started asking myself (while reading your entry); what makes me smile?

You see, you just made me think about smiling...

Jimmy, if you read my post, you'll see I've still got plenty to smile about!

A wonderful feeling it is to come to my mother's house after a hard day's work where a wonderful meal awaits me.
