It does sound a bit too easy, perhaps if you did not have a child to worry about and you kept a shotgun by your side as one lady we know did once and you really have to consider your husband. I should not think he needs the worry of you putting yourself in a precarious position. It was a bit different fifty years ago. Then was the time one could sleep under the stars. Children could camp out at night on the lawn or walk for miles in the country side. Have another slice of cake.

TRAVEL!
The memories and experiences will last a lifetime and probably give you tons to write about in the mean time.

I spent four months in 1985 traveling the world. I bought a round the world pass starting in Hongkong and ending in Hawai...I had so much fun and I learned how to stand on my own two feet without relying on anyone but myself. And I did it almost broke...
