Well, Kabu, as they say . . . ya get what you pay for! And somehow, we're still indebted to these people! Strange . . .

and I find that now everything coming from China is just trash...absolute trash.

Re:

Who knows indeed, Justi. Although some of these newer devices sound good on paper ( at least to some people ), most of their practicality escapes me. Besides, as I wrote, aren't there more important things some of these scientists and researchers could be working on? All things like this are going to do is make a handful of people rich, and have millions of others wasting their money on crap they don't really need! No matter 'what's next,' I'm sure I won't need it . . .

Re: JimmyA

Ya know what, Sir Wiley? I think I'm too old for some of this 'modern technology' as well! No matter how practical they make some of these devices seem, they never appear to be truly practical in the long run. Do we really need them? Probably not. They ain't gettin' me . . .

Re:

Perhaps, Annicita. But from what I understand, it's going to be one of those gimmicks that will appeal to anyone. Hey, I really, really never thought I'd see anyone from the 'older generation' being suckered into walking around will cell phones in their hands all day either ( I thought that was just for the younger generation too ). We'll see how this one plays out . . .

It is something new each and every day it seems. i can't imagine what they will do next. What do i think of this? I haven't a clue. I just get hold of what they say they will do and then it is up and going. Wow! Who knows what is next?

Beats me, I'm too old for that new science?

i think that is more of a device for the younger generations

Re:

I'm sure you do, C C T. However, I also believe that, while you're doing all of that hoeing, having your smart phone hooked to your belt with wires and electrodes running from it to various parts of your body so the batteries can recharge is probably the furtherest thing from your mind! Unfortunately however, over here in the states, there's a huge faction of our society who, for whatever reason, simply cannot go out and about with their daily routines unless they are on their phones with at least one other person at the same time! It's mind-boggling, but it's there nonetheless. This kind of device is for these annoying miscreants  . . .

Re:

I know what you mean, Kabu. A friend of mine continuously points out a line that he heard someone say years ago ( I wish I could remember who ) that nothing should have been invented after 1980! We believe that a great deal of this so-called 'modern technology' has made many people lazier, ruder, less self-reliant, and at the same time, has cost many people their jobs and livelihood. And most of this stuff, at least in my opinion, is utter garbage, totally abused, and completely useless! This is one piece of modern technology that I know I will have nothing to do with . . .

Re:

Well, FSI, I was kinda kidding about the 'lack of sweat,' but the ideal is probably the same. But I still say that there are potential problems with this concept that probably won't come to light until after someone if affected by them! You know, that ol' "Look! The horses have escaped! Let's close the barn doors!" mentality . . .

Re:

Not necessarily, Bill. At least, not as far as I'm concerned. I've always thought that some aspects of 'modern technology' may be getting a little out of hand, and this concept just proves it! Aren't there more important things these scientists could be working on . . . ?

I think mine would blow a fuse after an hours hoeing in the Sun Jimmy. We still sweat in this neck of the woods. Interesting though.

I am like FSI I don't have a smart phone or any of those things that belong in a World where I just don't belong.

Those are two great points you got there, about the possibility of a medical problem and how there is a lack of sweat these days.
