If I took shorter trips and traveled North America in segments it would defeat the whole purpose for me. If I'm going to jump in, I have to do it 100% - feet first in the deep end! It's who I am. Some of my fears might be irrational, but for the most part are easy to subdue with a little research. Besides, this is half the fun! Right!
Might be hard to travel to to places like Northern Ontario, Alaska and the southern states in shorter trips, too.

Buy your van and do some shorter trips. Compromise a little. like, One provence or a couple of states and then go back home and think about it all.
it is easy to visit other blogs here, click on their name and read then click on comments at the bottom of their page and leave a couple of words. If you don't like someone you can always block them from commenting .
