A one hundred-year-old gentleman was once asked "To what do you attribute your long life to?" His response? "To the fact that I haven't died yet!" The fact that you haven't died yet should speak volumes to you! There's always time to make changes, there's always time for things to improve! Don't continue to 'beat yourself up,' and certainly please don't cut yourself! Be thankful that you're alive, try to look at the positives, and forge ahead! Things could certainly be worse . . .

It can be tough to find happiness...At times, I have dealt with a flow of thoughts that were so disorganized.

See your doctor, and he,she may provide help. We all have suffered from these horrible

feelings at times. As one becomes older it does not seem to affect one so much.

darlin' I am glad that you came back here to pour all this out.

The light will come back if you are patient ...I know because I have been there.

I used to wake up in a swet every night for about 5 years...I would dream that I was standing in the dark behind a tall stone fence and i could not get over it. On the other side were bright lights and laughter and everyone was happy. But I did not deserve happy so I was shut out behind that stone fence. Gradually I worked my way I don't remember how but one day I was with the folks that laughed and were happy. It is hard work.

First I had to acknowledge what I was so unhappy about and face me...Seems to me that you are trying to do that.
