Re: JimmyA

I am indeed, Sir Wiley, although sometimes I think our 'arms' are getting a bit tired! The longer you hold something up, the heavier it seems to get. It would be nice to get a break now and then . . .

Re:

Thanks, shamasehar! Yes, it was nice. A bit on the rainy side, but nice nonetheless . . .

Hey dude, never forget that God runs that place ultimately  so you can always and should always be proud the U.S.A holds up the world.

Re: HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY TO ALL!!!!

Thanks, Sir Wiley, but you're a little late! That was over a month ago! You were close though, and I knew what you meant! It's okay! It's all good . . .

Re:

Thanks, chuck. Yes, we had a nice 4th. A little wet, with all the rain, but nice nonetheless. And yeah, everyone picks on America from time to time ( just a little of that self-deprecation ) but of course there's nowhere else I'd rather live. Besides, I'm already used to the food here! Wouldn't want to give my taste buds any need to panic by moving somewhere else . . .

Re:

Thanks, Kabu. Even with all of our faults, it's still a great place to live . . . for now!

Re: Jimmy

Okay, Naut. One drink, but it definitely won't be a mojito ( my wife and I tried one for the first time while we were on vacation a couple of weeks ago, and all I can say is . . . awful! ) And you think you're ticked off at our current administration! Any applications for becoming a Canadian citizen floating around up there . . . ?

Jimmy - Happy 4th of July for you and your family. And may God bless America from harm. And as you said we have done many things to be proud of and sometimes we have done the opposite. We are not a perfect nation. But when it comes to loving America we should all stand in ovation to this wonderful nation. My 4th of July was great I hope yours was too.

Jimmy

Well put! America has for a long time been my favourite 'foreign' country and remains that, even if I am really ticked off with your current administration...And I wish you and yours a wonderful 4th of July...   (One drink is allowed, LOL...)
