I suppose this concept coincides with not being too judgemental, and really listening to what a person is actually saying. Sometimes just getting something off one's chest ( better known as venting ) is another form of similar therapies. And I'm not sure if I've ever been in the presence of someone giving an answer to a different question. If I had been, I surely would have noticed . . .

I notice in politics that often happens when a candidate is asked a question but responds as though a different question was asked.

really fantastic...love it, love this post. Love the idea of really hearing what someone is saying and also allowing someone to be themselves and not what one expects from say a marriage partner or a best friend. Wiley is by far the most wonderful mate FOR ME because he encourages me to be me...and a happy Kabu is much nicer to have in the World than an unhappy one. LOl.
