Kind of a tangent, but...
...is it too much to say money, unmitigated and unregulated, is synonymous with fascism? Hmmm...interesting.

Fascists will always be with us.
There will always be the haters, the racists and those who think that anyone who doesn't agree with them is their "enemy" or a "traitor." I believe in a "bell curve" of human behavior that swings from good and loving to evil and hating. The people you identify are exemplars of the worst of humankind, but having them express themselves openly is good. It keeps us aware of what is out there and it allows these angry irrationalists to blow off steam.
The danger is when ignorance and arrogance take real power in government as the Bush administration has. Then the people need to exercise their political rights and vote them out.

Judging by the Republinazi efforts at destroying democracy--and here on the BN, the efforts to destroy free speech--we are in for a rough ride in the next four years, my friend. Notice how the Nazi media has refused to investigate--or even comment--on the ballot box issue? Scary. Very scary.
Read the fool DemsAre Evil (or some such useless title). Read his work. Read the irrationality of it. Then hop on over to the BN's newest hatemonger, tampa4christ. His latest blog is pure hate speech (which I am notifying Shaycom of as we speak), where he labels Islam "evil." Check out Inkling and her bigotry against Mormons (that is, if she hasn't deleted it). Then, if you still haven't enough, jump into any one of MHW's work, where he blithely ignores two hundred years of white racism.
Hate is alive and well, Spy. It exists right alongside ignorance. The BN is a wonderful little petri dish that one can utilize to observe these little souls.
