I assume someone in a government department has been paid a huge amount of money to look into this (smile)... here we have a bottle and glass collection, free of charge.. my only problem is having enough glass to fill the container to make it worth putting out once a month! Perhaps I should be upping my wine bottle intake??? x

Well I don't think one can redeem small change for a bottle here any longer but recycle bins are everywhere. I haven't seen a loose bottle unless it is thrown into my garden by some yobo.

Although we don't call it that, we've had a 'bottle bill' here in Ontario for quite a while now, and it's been great for the environment...
