Re: Re: Re:

Be careful with swearing at computers. They don't like that. I think they come with a hidden "swear at me and say hello to the blue error screen of death" clause. Speak gently and encouragingly to them, and they'll generally come back to life. Haha!

And thank you for admiring me! I'm truly nothing very admirable, but it still gives me warm fuzzies to hear it. Haha!

Re: Re:

Well I admire you immensely and I promise my computer I won't swear at it when I mess it up...well not for a week or two anyway.

Re:

It's not a rude question at all. I can see just enough to spare myself a bump or two here and there. In familiar places with white sidewalks, I can push my daughter's stroller without assistance from my guide dog or my white cane.

But generally, my vision isn't very reliable. I'm more blind than sighted, and use a guide dog or a white cane to get around. This means I have different ways of carting my little one along with me, whether it's pulling her behind me in a car seat frame, using a safety harness or a wrist strap.

My computer has the Jaws for Windows software on it. Jaws takes the textual information on my screen and reads it via synthasized speech. The program is insanely expensive and certainly does have its drawbacks. It cannot read images, and websites with excessive graphics and javascript are often difficult to navigate. Flash websites are completely inaccessible, and I cannot use them.

Always feel free to ask questions. I don't mind.

Re:

Shoe shopping isn't so bad. I'm still not a huge fan unless I actually need shoes. I'm the type of person who will wear favored shoes until they literally fall off my feet. Haha!

It's funny you mention putting groceries away. I was mentally freaking out about how we were going to get everything from the car to the apartment, and then into my fridge. My fridge is big, but it's bulky. So a lot of that big isn't space. It's actually rather small. Thank goodness we managed to get everything into my chest freezer.

I too hate putting things away, but now I feel good that it's finally over and done with and I don't have to worry about it.

I'd have to say that my favorite things to shop for are computers. Not price-wise, but I do enjoy touching the different models, listening to the descriptions and making my decision as to which one I'd like to purchase. But any other shopping? Bo-ring.

how nice dear, you won't have to shop for ages. I love to shop but I am thinking shoes, not groceries. What I dread is getting those bags all inside and then put away.
