Well I can never hear what they are saying when they stand in the pulpit, so I don't know Bill.

The first and third questions, I say yes...I feel that it is best for the Minister to explain the verses without all of the explanations right there in the text.

I am going to go with the last one. To often pastors and any higher up are too involved with church politics and money. People should read the word for themselves; however, the clergy should certainly be learned enough to discuss it carefully and truthfully with them.
