Well I once tried counseling and found it addictive. Eventually I tried a drug which replaced some chemical in the brain , but honestly I think the cure is to destroy the nucleus which caused the problem to exist. Although no longer having to use our senses
to be aware of the Saber toothed tiger perhaps this is manifested as a replacement/
When one watches a bird it is always alert as are wild animals perhaps we were the same
once.

I'm in that 95% my friend, went looking for it when I needed it. Found help in a unique way, called New York to get the name of an author who wrote 'The Pain of Being Human' eugene C. kennedy.
He was in Chicago Ill. and he had somebody in the Université de Montréal telephone me and I spoke with Dr. Margaret K PHD who telephoned me. I spoke with her on and off for 33 years.
Now you can increase your understanding of what extent some of us have to go to for help of a psychologist. I couldn't just look in the telephone book and take a guess right?LOL

re your comment at my post...they will be 18 this year and yes here they then can go on to a college or straight on to a 3 or 4 year University undergraduate course, depending on their marks and their interests. K'Man wants to do engineering I think and he has the marks for that already I believe so is cruising along. We think that is a bit sad because that will be at a less prestigious University....but then we all want everything for him whether he does or not. LOL.

Do you want a thesis or just a quick reply???? LOL...I will try with Quick.
Mental health is a revolving door. Come in raging...have therapy both chemical and verbal and tactile...leave because one is feeling better. Throw away all advice all chemicals don't attend physical therapy...return raging!!!
Therapy has to take two to three years to be life improving for the long term. Sometimes it can take for the rest of one's life.
helping others can help one's self.

❁Take it from Lennon-McCartney, and it’s good that they acknowledge that they not only need help but acquire the help. Excellent .BC-A, Bill’s R®st

My opinion? I would want to see the questionnaires that resulted in the answers arrived at, 'cause I know about survey research...
