My wife ( who's a vegetarian ) and I are way ahead of you! More fruits and veggies, and virtually no red meat, at least for me! I've lost 50 lbs. in 10 years, and every one of my recent physicals have been excellent! No complaints here . . .

I love fruits and vegetables.
I made the best soup yesterday:  cauliflowers, leeks and Vidalia onions cooked together until tender and then blended together.  Only thing needed in addition was water to cook them in, salt to taste, and drizzle with a bit of olive oil or a pat of butter (optional).  I can't stay away from it.  I saw it made on TV and then tried it out.

The results make a lot of sense to me.
