Ciel, I intentionally left out the word shame. It is the title of the book and the main theme. But people who have not done therapy do not get it. In spite of your perfect definition of it in my comment section the other day. I don't find the word itself helpful.

I am really sad to read this. I guess first one must learn to love themselves and stand in front of the mirror and say I am worthy and loveable...pretty difficult to love anyone else until we learn to rely on ourselves first. I will wait for further posts.
