Moles really messed up my Dad's back yard some years ago. I don't remember what he did about it. After the moles were gone, the tunnels remained and some kind of bees made nests in them going back and forth to the crabapple tree. The last time I mowed their yard for them the sound of the mower going over their nests made them come up and attack me. I had over twenty stings.

We have very few here. One year I had one living in my rackery but I figured it had rights too and left the wee thing alone. We are so far north, they don't seem to be much trouble here.
