Thank you, Jimmy.

It is difficult, but yes - we're fighters. We'll know more with his blood test next Wednesday.

Love sure can, TAPS.

If that's all he's needing, he's got it!

Thank you, Justi.

He seems to be on the mend...vet said it can take up to 8 months sometimes. Prayers are more than welcome!

Did that, Naut, and told him it was from Benny's pet...

He's eating, CCT, but it seems the cortisone will make him think

he is hungry constantly. I'm making sure he gets excercise for a short while at least twice a day too - doing our best to get through this.

You're right, Pat. Dog's are stoic, especially pits

and apparently this thing happens pretty quickly too. I had never heard of it before. So far, so good.

That sounds like an extremely difficult position for both of you! From all you've described about Smooch over the years, he's definitely a 'fighter,' and I too am sure he'll be in that 40%!  Only time will tell. Needless to say, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you both . . .

If anyone can bring Smooch back to health and strength, it would be you.  Love can work miracles.

I wish Smooch all the best...I, too, feel that he can be part of the 40% that makes it.

Dear One, now we just wait and see. He is on the mend that is good we will hope for a more fast paced improvement. You both be blessed. We are praying.

I'm so glad that Smooch seems to be coming around! Give him a scratch behind the ears from me!

I think Adnohr that if Smooch will eat, he will probably be OK. If he refuses his food it really means he has had enough and would like to go to sleep for a long time. Obviously your tender care has helped him over this stressful time. He deserves to make it for your sake. We have watched him grow up from a baby through your blogs and you have  really done all you could for him.

Oh, this is not good. Poor guy, fighting such transient nasties...

If your TLC has any effect at all, he'll be his old self soon. They get so sick before it shows. Keeping my fingers crossed for you two.
