I can relate, though I probably lack the courage to swing far on my string...

It is tough to be in such a position where one feels that one cannot get out...

Well it seems to me that we are all hanging on our strings, like the itty-bitty spider hanging before some monster she has never seen, hanging there connected to her string, and then there is me, hanging on my strings of addictions, and we all have our addictions, all though a cup of tea every day is a little safer than a quart of whiskey, or a shot of smack, but an addiction just the same when one tries to leave it behind us. The spider wondering if the monster will smash her with the clap of his hands, and the monster wondering when the clap of his addictions, which are his strings, will smash him. You see it is all very relative in a rather awkward kind of way.

Yes you can swing to the far out reaches and stay above, outside and moving ahead of the two viles. You are doing a good job. Be blessed.

I'm guessing "arcing out" is a term for

leaving planet earth for the realms of drug-induced dreaming, and "becoming" a spider in a web, vulnerable in a universe of bigger things. I can relate. We all feel like one solitary grain of beach sand at times.

You will have to explain this one Jay. Unless you have become miniaturized.
