I played soccer for over ten years ( forty years ago ) and never understood it's lack of popularity amongst adults ( we kids loved it! ). However, the other four major sports are so ingrained into the American psyche that it would be difficult for soccer to make any ground, especially today. As far as low scoring games are concerned, that never bothered me, because I know how difficult it is to score, period. So when a goal does come, it's extremely exciting . . .
