Situations like these are always tough, because there's two ways to look at it. Yes, the Devils are sliding, and I'm sure Brodeur would like at least one last chance at a fourth Stanley Cup. However, 'franchise players' are indeed a rarity today, and I think he should retire from the Devils, and no other team! But since he has a 'no-trade clause,' I guess the final decision is his . . .

I never thought that I would see a day with him playing in a different uniform. I guess if it can happen to Patrick Roy, it can happen to him.
