deepest sympathy to you and your family. One never really copes with losing a parent. And how on earth could one live up to a Saint. He  sounds a real dear.

Sad times buddy, we always feel sorry for the one who has passed on, but really we are sorry for ourselves. I used to try and believe that when my parents died, but it is a hard fact to swallow.

I am so, so sorry to hear of this. Your dad sounded a lot like my dad, who passed away nine years ago, two days shy of his 74th birthday. He was an elevator mechanic/engineer in the New York/New Jersey area, and people still ride the elevators he worked on today. No matter what, I'm sure your father was a good man, and I have no doubts he will be missed, just as I miss mine on a daily basis. Sending thoughts of comfort . . .
