Our cat Riki is the exact same way! She 'suddenly' appeared in our lives too, and although she loves my wife, she is my 'sexy girlfriend,' and acts towards me the same way Crybe acts towards you ( although I'm not ill at the moment ). Animals have better instincts than people give them credit for ( or want to give them credit for ) and I'm sure Crybe is acting accordingly. You're actually quite lucky! Most cats are standoffish, whether their 'human' is ill or not! Enjoy it, and I hope your ulcer improves . . .

Some kind of instinct that we have lost Jay. She feels you need protecting in her little mind, not many cats like that, she is precious.

She can not only sense you are unwell, she can smell it too, on your breath from the pores of your body, everthing. And yes, she is worried crazy about you. Yes my cat in Australia who died just before she turned 20, was like this with me. So close we were almost joined at the hip and actually Graysome adores Wiley and watches over him pretty close.

That is something how she senses if you are feeling bad...I myself have never had a cat. Therefore, I have not any experiences to speak of. I am not aware of anyone else having a cat who knows whether their owner is feeling bad.
