I actually can see some light. I suffer from the same disease..others first. Just can't seem to master the ME yet. I am sincere in thanking you for a way to stop to those irritating voices. Maybe there is hope after all. I feel better.

Ok, so where are all of the damned answers? I can hear God now, "Jesus, are you listening to this? What whiners!"

I don't have any answers. Hell, I'm not even sure I'm asking the right questions, but I feel as if I am comming to an understanding, a life epiphany, a really big friggin' revelation. We have to put our hands to what we love. It doesn't matter what it is. Writing, mechanics, baseball, farming. Whatever. I've spent my life doing for everyone else because I loved them, but I never did anything for me. I come to know that if you can't give to yourself, you can't give to anyone else. If you don't love yourself, you won't truly be able to love anyone else.
The symbolism of the "Death and Resurection" may be the right analogy. "Except that you be born again...." It may be that your old life has to be killed off inorder to begin your new one. You were a little more dramatic than most. I have a feeling that's the only way HE could get your attention. You may have to "shush" those voices long enough to find a quiet place within you and touch that thing you love most and begin to do it. Tony Robbins loves to motivate people. That's what he does. Great cooks love to cook, so they cook. The truly great writers love to write, so they write.
You have to get up in the morning thinking about it. Go to bed at night thinking about it. Allow it to consume you. How bad can it be? It's what you love for crying out loud! (<ahem> chocolate is not on the list) Hopefully, I'm my own example.

So in answer to your question: I don't have a clue!
