be careful--not a toy!
Hi,
Be careful with that deck. I've been a reader for over 20 years and it isn't a toy. If friends ask you to do readings, they may think they're asking for the sake of fun, but a lot of people will take your tarot readings very seriously. Usually people only ask about things they're a little bit afraid of and you might be surprised at how devastated someone might become if you give them a "bad" reading.
I've had friends ask for a reading about their relationship and suddenly they find themselves pretty deep into addressing their problems, moreso than they might want! It's like going to intensive therapy sometimes! I don't know what deck you got, but try the Celtic Dragon. It's a very beautiful illustrative deck, very much about self-development and less about predictions (which is really, I believe, the higher purpose of tarot.)

I have a couple of decks. I doubt that surprises you.
I'm not pagan and I'm not a very good christian - I believe that there is something out there - so I gues I'm a "pseudochristian".
I can't read the cards well, but I have an interest. I am open to everything and still eager to learn about everything - even after all these years.
