Hey :-) I am of the opinion that parades have their cons and their pros... They are good for moral and people enjoy them ... On the other hand they do cost a lot of money to produce. Security alone in our new world order is a nightmare and very expensive. In cities like Detroit where deep cuts have been done to the budget to be able to survive and the citizens are feeling those cuts at very basic levels ...the money a parade would cost would be better employed placed into social services. Now having said that... a parade can be done simply and it would be enjoyed just the same by the children and parents alike... Down sizing is something we all are going to have to learn. From our government down :-) xoxoxo
