Years ago, my "crafty" Sis made all in our family with a Mac a beautiful, quilted, computer cover that fit snugly and kept out dust.  She dubbed them, MacPlush.

Goodness I thought you were from Outer Yonder. Changing colour so easily.

Of chameleon descent or similar. We need something like that to chew over now there are so few of us.

JimmyA - complaints are fine :)

Macs aren't perfect after all.  But I'm glad your computer works the way you want.  And yes, change for the sake of change seems to be a common tactic among companies.  I guess it is to keep people on their toes.  But I wonder if there is a risk of some inflationary aspect to all of that.  It seems the more changes you implement, the less important the changes become.

Thank you for your comment.  I appreciate it.

Be well

Re: Hi WHT

Nautikos -

Thank you for your comment.  I too am averse to the 'cultish' side of the company.  I fell I'll be writing alot about that.  There is definitely a sense of being inside a bubble when working there.  With this blog I'm hoping to reach out to the rest of the world again.

Thank you again, and I look forward to hearing what you have to say.

Be well,

-WHT

I would like to welcome you to Blogit. I look forward to your work related entries. As someone who blogs about his work experiences, that strikes a chord with me.

I will also welcome you to Blog-it . . .

As far as any company is concerned, sometimes they will change things just for the sake of changing them. No good usually comes from arbitrary changes like that. Most consumers rely and depend on consistency, and really, really appreciate it when a company or service they've been using for years remains reliable, intact and unfluctuating. By the way, I use a Mac computer, and I have no complaints . . .

Hi WHT

Welcome to Blogitville! (And I hope you don't mind that I'm foreshortening your name somewhat - I hate typing!, LOL)

Anyway, this look at Apple from an insider's point of view should be very interesting, even (or especially) for someone like me, who has always been adverse to the 'Cult of Apple'. I did buy an iPod once to take to the gym, but returned it after a few days! It was simply too annoying that I could only download stuff from Apple's own basket, however richly it might have been stocked!

So again, welcome aboard, and I'm looking forward to learning things...
