The Chiefs look good this year, and for a Broncos fan, that's a mouth full.

Funny how when it all comes back on one feels OK again immediately. And if the team won and you got the hot coffee then everything was fine again.

I hate it when that happens. Fortunately, I have been very lucky when it comes to the power at my house.

TAPS

We take so much for granted these days! We have these blackouts very rarely, but there's on of those crank-up radios in the house somewhere, it even has a light attached to it, so we can at least listen to music and the news. Of course, I've got to be able to find it in the dark...

TAPS

We all are so totally dependent now on electronics. Glad the power came back, sorry about the plants was there any other damage after the light was shown on things. Get plenty of rest today. Love ya.

The silence is so thorough when every appliance goes dormant.

How thoroughly dependent we are on electricity also comes home.

Don't ya hate when that happens? I went through that a few years ago. My New York Rangers were about to begin an important divisonal game against the Devils when -pop!- out went the lights ( I forget exactly why ) and came back on with a few minutes left in the game. But in my case, the Rangers lost, so it was probably just as well that I didn't sit through the entire debacle . . .

In that situation, I'd have probably gone to sleep.

But then, in this part of the world when storms can go monster, it's hard to fall asleep and miss out on the giant's foot (wind) kicking the roof off...

Pity you have not got one of those re-run programmes Taps. Never mind you won in the end.
