Sounds like a good system! Hey, some people do the exact opposite, show no organizational skills, and let things "pile up." They are now referred to as "hoarders!" You don't want to be one of them . . .

it is cooler up here and feeling quite wintery. I am going to follow your lead and remove something from my cupboards too...we have a place here in town that takes anything. They fix and sell and all proceeds go to giving Bibles to poor folk around the world.

I think I might follow your example B.F but start with 1 instead of 5. I'll see how I get on.

I am just like you, a procrastinater, a saver. For me it is old wood (at least a 100 years old) It is what I do my carving with, and rocks, I'm a rock hound too, but mostly it is note books, I write everything in a note book before I key it into the computer. I must have a thousand note books, I prefer the composition note books. They are everywhere, in every room even the bathroom. I have two in the car and one out by the garden and one in the car port...I need help...Great post.

Three of the five sounds like a realistic goal.

I do wish you luck! Especially since I have a similar reluctance to get rid of things! But at least I've been doing some shredding, and the other day a bag full of clothes went out to Sally Ann...
