some other great episodes - the homecoming and slaying the suitors, getting acquainted with his wife again, hanging out all that time with Circe, landing at Phaeaicia buck naked and being discovered by Nausicaa and her girls on the beach.  It's a rich,rich story!

Re: CC, this poem - and the one tomorrow - spent over a year

on my clipboard half-finished.  I looked at them the other day with a fresh eye and the ideas started to come again.  I'm glad you like it.The whole idea of being that close and then missing it really appealed to me.

make me think of what it must have been like to listen to stuff like this that the performer memorized and communicated.  Listening to someone really "selling" his poem to an audience must have been marvelous!
