Vacations are not something I can talk about much. I worked for myself and never was able to take off more than I was away on business. But I look forward to a few days next Summer. I loved the newsy post.

I always appreciated vacations when I was working.
Now?  Just come and go as I wish.  LOL

I am so up for football. How lucky for you to go to a game?

Why or youcan't you have a month a year, it will benefit you just to know you have value to compensate mentally for your knowledge and labour .

I think Kabu has an idea there...

If you went five years, why not go two and get the week vacation and then the week to recover :)

Heck Yeah!!

I do enjoy how you write, it is very calm and soothing. I picture you during your day being very much the same? I wouldn't mind working around a fellow with such a demeaner; for sure!

I hope you enjoy that game and I know you will!!

Was there really that much rain down there to interfere with business? Well, maybe it will pick up again soon. Glad you enjoyed your vacation. Yeah, it's never long enough . . .

Well FS I used to get my car washed every couple  of weeks or so by the Polish with hand carts in the Supermarket car park. I don't really like going there, now and I don't go as often. I did wonder how they cleaned with the minimum of water but paid £5 pounds for the service. Suddenly they put it up to £8 and it annoyed me, there was a water shortage at the time we were not allowed to wash cars. So I declined and have not used that service since.

maybe next year you could try taking two weeks vacation together and see how that goes....I am so happy to read that these days wet weather which means a down turn in revinue coming in does not depress you as it once did. It is the cycle of being in business of course. Some years are better than others. Some months better than others.

One week of vacation always goes by too fast..

When I was still working, it never failed - I would wish I had another week off to recover from my vacation week....

the week you are on vacation goes by so much faster than a work week.  I have directv and one of the programs I had and didnt know was NFL football and it was free up until this month and I was charged for it.  I just called them and told them to take it off and to credit me back I dont plan on watch football and dont want to pay for it.

Great thing to wake up with - looking forward to a sport's event that night! We've been having that kind of weather here too - a hard rain nearly every day. I don't complain. It keeps the dust down on our gravel road, so my truck doesn't get so dirty, and I don't have to go to get it washed so often.
