Yeah, I think if I had a choice between gaining a measly pound and dealing with headaches, I'd take the measly pound! And I had always thought that soup was excellent for losing weight because you do actually eat less solid food because of the amount of liquids in the soup! I guess everyone's constitution is somewhat different . . .

I love tomato soup.  I never though of the water retention before. Hope you feel better.

And sugar in all these tinned soups, perhaps if you made your own it would be a good alternative, please don't ask me how.

The soup has alot of sodium in it unless you get the low sodium kind, hence that is why you gain weight it is water retention of the sodium.  Your diet does sound good though I love tacos yummy.

you are right about the water retention...I always weigh myself in the morning for I loose a lot of water into the bathroom over night.
