This was a beautiful post, historically speaking, it is funny how life moves on with or without us...Thank God for for the written word, and thank God for those like you who read them.

Another great post, TAPS. You always get me thinking. I've never looked on Blogit as being history, but you are right, that's what we are creating in here. And even if it's not national news, we are recording bits of our lives which is, as you say, important to us and part of our world's history.

and I find for myself ...it is good discipline to write and read each day and writing what we are doing seems to interest others and capsulates the day for me....or perhaps I have been up to nonsense with the Gnomes...Just for a change!!

Another insightful post Taps :-) So true... Many seem to forget that History is not only written... it is lived. Everything we record, whether writing, painting, sculpting... becomes available for others to interpret.. but it also reflects the world as we lived it for future generations to learn from ... if they only would loll Hopefully they will not be like my kids who think they always know everything better than we "old gizzards" do loll Be well Taps... and keep writing. No one records our history like you :-) xoxoxo

Re: Saif_AlKindi
History may not be important to you, but no matter how rapid the changes of our world, there is always value in being aware of what has happened in the past, and where it happened, and why it happened. There is beauty in hisory, there is ugliness in history, there is understanding our now and planning our future in the study of our past. Sorry if I sound like I am preaching, but it always is shocking to me when someone says history is not important in today's world.

I feel that you have summed up how many of us feel writing here.

We are all sitting on a gold mine, and just scratching at the surface.
I am always tickled to get that rare comment on a post written ages ago!
