I know exactly what you are feeling!! My ex would do the same - party before the party, then be annoying to all who were attending. Very embarrassing! I finally learned to ignore it as best I could, and let him be embarassed for himself, and eventually someone else took it up with him. That's when he began to realize he was an ass when all along he thought he was amusing. Didn't help much though, nor change his behaviour either.

You handled it all well. Like you, I like notice and prefer to stay home rather than get angry. Just try not to take it personal and let him get feedback from others on his own. That is still a challenge for me!

You are spot on...this is the best place to vent as is using the broom...I had to do that myself today..sweep away my anxiety.
The drink!!!!I suppose love it is his decision in the final analysis...and your feelings...you have a right to them too....if it was me, I would be cringing with embarrassment as well.
