As far as the space sign goes...

President Bush has just come out with several ambitious plans for NASA - he borrowed a page from JFK and decided to make these plans time sensitive. We're supposed to get onto the moon by a certain date, go from there to a moon colony by another date, and finally, we are supposed to get a manned mission to Mars into space by another date.

And in the The More Things Change department, people are already saying the same things they did when I was a kid - "where are you going to get the money from, let the starving kids have the money, we have a deficit as is."  I could probably write a whole book on these objections because I heard them so often when I was a youngster.

With a name like yours, i should have guessed you'd land here eventually and find a fellow spirit on the path!

Wow, Damon
I've never met anyone else who does this too. People always think I'm superstitious or daft or some such thing, so I've stopped talking about it.

There's an energy attached to that sign. It's definite. No fooling. Like that crow of yours.

Very good to meet, yah!

Slutty legs...

If you are a fan of the numbers-theory, drop by my numerology blog... you can ask me whatever you want...

And Damonleigh...

You wouldn't believe how moved i was in reading this. Perhaps because I have found someone who feels as strongly as I do about that subject.

I have... an ESP of sorts... Not only do I see auras, but when I am centered, as when I am meditating or simply relaxed and in a good mood, I start to ..know things. It's my own voice saying these things... Thoughts just come to my head. CLEAR CUT sentences pop into my head... And it is usually advice or incite about a situation... or even a MATH problem! (I think my grandma is the keeper of my "vocabulary folder" in the filing cabinet of my mind.... ) haha   anyways...

This sort of thinking has led me to read symbols. Over the years I have been able to notice that nothing is coincidental... it is energies interacting with their environment... ALWAYS.... There is a method to this madness. I recommend you read the "Davinci Code" if you you haven't already...  Have you heard of the number phi? (fee) It's definately worth looking into.

And don't forget to read the clouds!

Thanks for the wise words.

This is really interesting, Damon.

I'm not sure I believe in signs, but I know that I strongly adhere to Lao-tse's immortal words:

Do you have the patience to wait

till the mud settles and the water is clear?

Can you remain unmoving

till the right action arises by itself?

The Master doesn't seek fulfillment.

Not seeking, not expecting,

she is present, and can welcome all things.

Coincidences are amazing. There have been so many 'signs' that have appeared since my sister's death a few years ago. These seem to speak to me (and to others) in the form of music, hummingbirds, ladybugs, sunlight, always feeling like much more than just coincidences. And I totally agree with you that it's the observance of these signs and the meaning they hold to the person that is of utmost importance...it's the awareness, like anything else we experience in life.

Sounds...
...fascinating. Tell me more? Here, or in a post, or on the ol' email? Love to hear the story, one way or another.

Damon

See, I'm looking at numbers being the primary source of synchronicities at the moment - I'll do a post later on - see if we can work something out.

As far as coincidinks and universal energy goes - I've experienced it.  Without sounding like a poof - witnessing synchronicity at the level I did was a miracle.  It was all the proof I needed that a spiritual level does exist around us.  And I didn't even have to go to church.  YAY!

Ariala...
...I used to have similar thoughts around my conversations with my Guardian Angel. I used to get a lot of very clear guidance from him, under ritual conditions, stuff that I really feel I'd never have thought of myself. Then I got into this debate as to WHAT and WHERE my GA is - a seperate, ethereal being? my own higher self? some wiser, deeper part of my subconscious?

Eventually I realised it doesn't matter. What matters is the wisdom is there, and it's accessible. Same with the signs. They may become meaningful only when I observe them, or they may come to me ready-laden with meaning for me to interpret. In the end, it doesn't really matter. What matters is observing, interpreting where possible, and acting on the resultant wisdom. Oh, and it's always worth sense-checking the results, too, just in case the Universe is playing silly buggers with you!

Damon, very interesting post. Although I believe in signs, I think mostly

we can interpret things as signs when in reality they're just things that happen around us every day even when we're not observant.  The key, to me is, not the fact that something is a sign, but rather the sign is that I'm observing it.  It's the fact that I've taken the time to be observant that is important and that can teach me something.  Then comes the interpretation of my observation.

I do think there's something to the examples of signs you cited, however.

Well observed, matey.  Hmm, what does it all mean, though?  We each have our own ideas, I'm sure.  We'll have to swap notes sometime.
