Re: CCT

I do not think it silly at all that you write from a second voice. Listen carefully..

Once it was like a second voice not my own thoughts. It was like speaking in a language that just evoked emotions. That of course is silly because everyone is different , I now think poetry should be simple to understand, but controlled by the writer. Sadly when one discovers this the impetus ceases. Just one opinion of course.

I have thought of what I do as poetry, it more a collection of thoughts, it is more like therapy for me. I wrote for more than 25 years before anyone ever read a word of what it is that I do...Maybe I should have left it that way lol.

In my case it usually is my heart out running my head. I too am no poet but I like those without a lot of measurement etc.

I personally believe that much of poetry may fall under the same criterion as science-fiction, in that there are very, very few rules and regulations, and almost anything goes. I must admit, I'm not much of a poet either, and really don't profess to be, and I too have read plenty of poems that utterly confused me and made very little sense . . .

Like you, I enjoy poetry, though I am not a poet, and I know virtually nothing of the 'rules' of poetry, if there are any. Some of it sometimes baffles me...
