The more I think about love , I can't help thinking it is mostly sex . Kindness and understanding should really be the criteria, but is it enough?  If one meets a person with a perfect personality and a loving disposition and yet does not raise that damned feeling of wishing to touch and fondle, it all seems so empty.

Oh boy

An excellent post! On this topic, I don't even know where to start. Of course, beauty is subjective. But there are some general collective agreements when it comes to what should count as being beautiful. And I agree with you that, as a society, our concept of beauty has changed! I'll leave it there for now, to avoid going on too much in your comments section

That's wonderful.  I like his on me, he just does not like me talking!  Initially, I did not talk much. I generally do not until I must!  As a teacher, and administrator, and on jobs I was required.  I think much of that has to do with the idea that I must get down on the level of those who are not on same level.  I can and do with respect for myself and the others.  I will not talk like, look like or behave like a low life to fit in any where, at any time with/for/to anyone.  This is the problem family and friends even those on jobs and positions that I held have with me and I JUST DO NOT CARE!

They need to adjust their thinking.  I cannot help them but must think and do for myself.

beauty is when wrinkles and all your husband sees you as a beautiful woman and means it ...and he really is a cuddly teddy bear always there when you need him.

Teddy bears sometimes turn into Grizzlies - but not in your case, I'm sure, LOL. As to who defines beauty these days - I have no idea! I just know it ain't me...

A great question for us to ponder.

You are so right.  Barbie has been popular for so long. Inner beauty always appeal to me most with good outward behavior.

Who can say for sure? There are different degrees of beauty, naturally, and what may appeal to one may not appeal to another! There probably shouldn't be one person or a small committee of people who decides what is beautiful and what is not, in the process creating ridiculous standards many could not possibly achieve or live up to! One person's rock is another person's diamond! It's all subjective . . .
