I always end up hanging up on them. I know if a hurricane or a blizzard is coming.

I would not mind. It would be good to get an alert to prepare in case one is preoccupied.

I have no idea.  My cell phone--that thing I bought and activated and never used--is residing in the junk drawer of my house.  I only use my land line and have it attached to the answering machine.  I consider the cell phone a "gadget" and I don't much like gadgets.
