Other than that...
I find the methodology interesting and it would probably work if you were able to randomly select people and use sufficient force to insure that they are not lying to you...We could threaten to kill their children if they don't cooperate. Of course I figure that that would work wonders for the real terrorists recruiting efforts. The "Six Degrees of Separation" Thing I am aware of; that was also the name of a fabulous play by John Guare and an equally fabulous movie starring Will Smith, Stokard Channing and annother big name who I am brain cramping on right now...oh yeah Donald Sutherland. I reveiwed it in Jimmy's Favorites not long ago.

The only problem with this solution...
is the same as with other solutions that I have read about; It is called the Bill of Rights. I realize that Habeus Corpus has been suspended for non citizens and for some citizens as well. Patriot Act exceptions to 4th ammendment protections have been used in a number of RICO and drug trafficing cases by now. Just because this has been done does not make it right; if they can take these protections away from any of us then our "Liberty" is a hollow joke. If you change the way you live and love because of the actions of a few so called Terrorists then they have won. "Land of the free, home of the brave" my ass; Americans have been dissappointingly ready to hand over their hard won freedoms in exchange for the illusion of safety. Remember, Benjamin Franklin said that "those who would exchange their liberty for safety deserve neither liberty or safety." Particularly in a case like this where any safety is purely illusory anyhow................................................ The only "Brave and Free" way to handle this is to accept that the World is a dangerous place, take a few sensible precautions (like Iron doors on airplane cockpits; not like Investigating what books we check out for God's sake - this is Mcarthyism all over again but worse) and then soldier on; show them courage by refusing to be afraid, refusing to change the way you live because a a few scruffy assassins, refuse to give up your rightful freedoms and civil liberties for the merest patina of safety.....Tell 'em all to Fuck off and shoot 'em when they pop their heads up - as long as they keep their heads down don't worry about them they are punks anyway.
