Human Beings and Science

The human being is body, soul and spirit. The body is based on science, such as biochemistry, biology, etc. It is living so it is based on order, i.e. good science. The human spirit lives inside the body and depends on the good science of the body for the spirit to survive in the body as a whole unit. (By the way, I am not talking about religion. I am not religious.) The body itself depends on the environment to survive, so the environment needs to be of good science too. If the environment or the body itself contains bad science, that may mean death of the body, in which case the human spirit must abandon the body, and go to either Heaven or Hell. (Most British people are good, law abiding citizens, so will go to Heaven when they die. A few are criminals so could go to Hell when they die. However, if the criminal repents of his or her crimes, then the Cross of Jesus, as in the religious Bible, will enable his/her crimes to be forgiven, and the individual will still go to Heaven. The law, i.e. criminal justice system, fully understands this principle, and therefore does not normally punish murderers with the death penalty, in order to give them the chance to repent and go to Heaven.) The human spirit cannot normally remain on Earth, but if it did, it would be a ghost. Ghosts, i.e. human spirits without bodies, have been known to exist.

Re: Welcome to the Fascinating World of Quantum Mechanics, Pal!

Your comment shows you are very interested in astronomy, physics and cosmology. So I would like to describe my passion for the world of quantum mechanics, the world of the atom and sub-atomic world! Do you know that all matter, everything, is almost empty space, my friend? The sheer physical matter we are composed of is electromagnetic forces, which are very real, still 100% real, yet empty space. The real matter, i.e. protons, neutrons and electrons that fill all matter, fills less than one trillionth (British trillionth) of the space of matter. These electrons are what give the electromagnetic forces that give the illusion that we are matter through and through. The protons and neutrons contribute towards most of the mass and therefore weight. So an entire average room would be filled by a grain of sand of matter! The entire Earth would probably be filled by a football stadium of matter. Amazing isn't it? Yet for some materials, their electromagnetic repulsions are so strong they can take many thousands of tonnes per square metre before they are even slightly crushed! Examples include concrete, stones, bricks and even water! So that less than one trillionth of total volume of matter is resisting enormous forces of thousands of atmospheres pressure! (One atmosphere equals ten tonnes per square metre, or over thirty feet head of water!)

Interesting, yet at the same time, somewhat contradictory. Yes, the Big Bang theory, on its own, makes very little sense, especially to the average person. But the concept of all life beginning with Adam & Eve makes even less sense! As far along as science has come, I don't think we will ever discover the true nature of our beginnings . . .
