I Have Often Questioned The Logic . . .
of having auditors that are paid by the company they are auditing? How do you expect them to bite the hand the feeds them? Now, say they take that function and make it a division of the IRS (or similar entity, depending on the country, etc.). Boy, you can bet the books would be in better shape in a hurry!
