I too live on my social security benefits, less than her brother makes and these cuts would hurt us dearly, but on the other hand, it was we the people who have foolishly allowed the politicians to spend us into oblivion, the cuts must come from somewhere if we are to save the country, perhaps from everywhere...After all we are the ones that let this madness happen.

Politicians do not read the fine print. They sell big dreams and idea when running for office. The charismatic one wins on popularity and sounding good without a clue that they are hypocrites for as soon as they are in office, it is I DID NOT SAY OR MEAN THAT. Then we are stuck until we can have another who promises to do the opposite, yet in fact does exactly the same but serves a different special interest group.
