i do not pick movies because of the actors either, but if i know that the lead is an actor or actress my age i do not go to see it, i find they are usually not very good movies, i usually leave the movie thinking they must have needed the money. and i went to see " after earth" with "will smith" yesterday and i did not like it, but then someone said it was made to introduce his son into the movies, but i was not impressed with his performance. i need to start looking into the reviews more closely.

I choice mine movies the same way. i don't care how many great actors are in it, if it does not sound good I won't watch it. lbj

there are so many actors these days I dont know, usually I like to see the old time actors

I am with you, I even go so far as to try to not know what any of their names are, or anything about them or what their political or world views are...I just want to be able to enjoy the movie and not steam as to how this actor or actress treated their wives or husbands.

I am different FSI. I do follow certain acotrs and the better they are the
more of their films I will watch.

I totally agree. I too have different actors and actresses that I really like, but even they have appeared in a cluncker or two, so I won't arbitrarily go to see a movie just because they're in it! I also don't care about special-effects, location, lighting, scripts, or their ilk. If the idea, subject-matter or concept behind the movie does not appeal to me at all, I will not waste my time . . .
