Great piece!
It's strange how people always notice when men don't do well but ignore it when women get worse results. The 'crisis' in the UK over recent years has been 'Boys doing less well than girls in GCSEs. Lad culture to blame.' When girls were doing less well than boys, it was because 'Girls find it hard to concentrate when there are boys in class because they're not confident enough.' So, with boys it's the media's fault and with girls, it's their own fault.
