I went back and printed the recipe.  It is something I would truly love.  I would also like to visit the Italy place too; it looked so old world and heavenly with the wisteria.

Oh my goodness. I have not given up sweets. This is a miracle looking dessert. I too love saltines and butter as a snack. Be blessed.

I always have to have something sweet but try to do it with very little sugar since I am prediabetic, and I am from the area that is burning right now, very sad

Atlantic Beach Pie sounds good to me! And since I live in Jersey and am very familiar with the actual Atlantic Beach . . .

That pie recipe is very tempting.

The crust looks easy and delicious, but since my gut has become gluten-intolerant, I think I'll pass on this one. I even take the buns off a Whopper when I just gotta have one, and cut up the burger, onions, tomato and lettuce on a plate. It still takes two hands to handle ...

Walmart - yes. And now we're getting an influx of Taggart stores everywhere in Quebec. Checked out the recipe. Will try that one day, when someone else is around to eat it.

I cannot do without sweets either...I've never had an Atlantic Beach pie...Living near a Wal-Mart I've taken it for granted that it's around.

It will be interesting to see if she likes the taste of the pie! I am not one for desserts either. Today, however, my daughter decided to make this dessert that has Reese's peanut butter cups on the bottom, then topped with chocolate chips melted in condensed milk and finally crushed Reese's on top, pushed in slightly, then chilled! It sounds so rich and the calories have to be out of sight! But, that isn't going to stop me from trying it! LOL! sam

Re: Naut

A good apple pie is just about the best that there is.

Sounds interesting, although I've never been too keen on saltines. For dessert, gimme apple pie or tarte Tatin or apple torte with some whipped cream and a glass of Calvados and I'm happy...
