I couldn't agree more. My wife and I have several cats, and the joy, amusement and comfort they give us is beyond compare. This is also my wife's favorite time of year, with the flowers beginning to bloom and the leaves returning to the trees. The best things in life are free, and the simpler the pleasure the better! People need to turn off their TV's, computers and smart phones and get out there and enjoy nature more. They'll be better off for it . . .

i agree with taps, good post
a cat or dog does come with costs, but a plant you can buy at very little cost, or seeds for even less and if you know how to collect the seeds the plant will make, you will not have to buy it again. both give you something to take care of.

This is a great post. I am getting feelings of pleasure everytime I look at my celery plant growing on my deck. It is four inches tall now and just about the greenest green there is. I have to cover it at night because it is still so cold and rainy.
