Happy Blogit Anniversary, TAPS. I guess we all become somewhat frustrated when we can't keep up to the younger version of ourselves. Probably many of us have similar symptons to those you have posted here! One thing that isn't suffering is your writing - you're still A-1 in my book!!!

Dear Taps...  It could be me you are describing in this post... fumbler, things dropper, forgetful... I guess is all part of growing older and it is so true what you say about wanting to do more things and it taking so much longer to do anything than it used to before... Sometimes I too get frustrated and throw my hands thinking "what is the use"  but when I sit ( or lay down :-)) and think some more I realize that growing up is not an option... Growing older is not a problem,  growing up is,  letting our inner child become an adult with all the cynicism and lack of imagination that entails.  You my friend have not done that as yet.  Through your writings I see that you still feel the magic of a walk in the woods , in flowers,  in sunsets, in a good book. You see the world as a wonderful place even though you know how cruel and cold it can be and that my darling is your gift, a gift that keeps you young... and in a way us, your readers, as well.  Thanks Taps :-)  xoxoxo

I'm almost as old as you...

Knock on wood, I will make it through another few years.

...  Was that the front door, or the back door...?

Oh getting older is such fun.....Sigh! I just said to Wiley today that I

want to have my garden to the extent that Iam happy with and with many perenials as opposed to so many annuals....all by the time I am 70.mainly because last Summer, it took me so long to extend just a little area. I began to feel less energy so quickly.

Age affects everyone differently. Don't be so hard on yourself! We're all "forgetful procrastinators" from time to time!  Congrats on the 9 years on Blogit!

Nine years on Blogit!

Congratulations! I'm right there with you on  how much longer it takes to do things nowadays.  I love how you put your finger on just exactly the point of your blog - you've not lost a step where that's concerned.

I think when we were working we had little time to get things done so we managed to fit them in, now we have all the time in the world to fit things and can't manage to get anything accomplished! lol And, congratulations, that's a long time to be on Blogit! sam

Re: Nautikos

I'm so looking forward to green.  I am tired of looking at naked tree limbs and dry stubble gardens.

I think you're just suffering a bit from the winter blahs, which is quite normal! Wait for the sun getting a little higher in the sky, the Earth warming up (actually, when I was playing with Ben on the tennis court today, I noticed the sun was warming things a bit!), and the birdies tweeting again, and you'll be your familiar self again...
