Yes, and they leave so much out that the populace is effectively dumbed down, while at the same time thinking themselves informed. This all starts at media matters.

Unlike FSI, I am not all surprised at the actions of MSNBC; I suspect that 'selective editing' is a very common practice - it's just that we don't always become aware of it. In fact, there is usually a 'selection process' at an earlier stage, when editors decide whether to include an item or leave it out entirely...
